Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney, born Amal Alamuddin, a Lebanon native, is an Lebanese and British barrister, who has been an activist for human rights for several years. As a graduate of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her long and accomplished career in the fields of human rights and international law have won her international acclaim. Some of her most famous clients are various nation states including Armenia and its struggle for recognition by the Turkish Government to recognize the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney was engaged, and later was married with American star George Clooney, instantly making her a household names within pop culture. Before that, she was already well-known and respected within the legal community in the legal community for her ability to represent clients in a professional and effective manner. Her work covers a wide range of subjects, from social justice issues and human rights to representing multinational companies in negotiations or legal cases involving federal regulations.
